Jody Victor: The 2010 winners of the prestigious Big Ten Medal of Honor, given annually to the most outstanding senior student-athletes at each conference school, will be announced later this week. Jim Cordle was not just a three-year starter on the Ohio State offensive line, but a key component of the winningest senior class in Buckeye history, which captured five Big Ten titles, five BCS bowl bids, five wins over Michigan and a Rose Bowl victory. A starter for Ohio State at center, tackle and guard, Cordle, the pride of Lancaster, Ohio, graduated last December with a 3.27 average from the Fisher College of Business, earning repeated academic all-Big Ten honors. A tremendous team leader, Cordle made a lasting mark in his commitment to outreach, highlighted by his organization of a bowling fundraiser that raised nearly $20,000 for Special Olympics in his home Fairfield County.
