Jody Victor: Here's what Ohio State players had to say about the Wisconsin game.
Brian Harline – sophomore wide receiver – On trailing 17-10 – “Kirk(Barton) gave us a talk. He is a senior and a real leader on this team. He told us this was the time to step up.”
Doug Worthington – sophomore defensive lineman – On the game – “We had prepared hard all week. We knew that pressure was going to be a key today and we did our best to get in and disrupt their offense.”
Malcolm Jenkins – junior defensive back – On the game – “It was a big win in a big game. We came into the game undefeated making it the biggest game on our schedule. Since we got the win, next week will be even bigger.”
Todd Boeckman – senior quarterback – On the nature of college football – “One play can define a season, so you just have to keep fighting and play your best. When we got down in the third quarter, our whole offense looked at each other and we made some plays. We got the job done today.”
Steve Rehring – junior offensive tackle – On the emergence of Chris “Beanie” Wells – “Beanie's been very good since he's been here. He got into a zone and you could see it in his face. He just needs one run to get going.”
Brian Hartline – sophomore wide receiver – On the running game – “If you win the running game, most of the time you're going to win the game.”
Donald Washington – sophomore defensive back – On the third-quarter fumble recovery – “Any time you can cause a turnover, it gets the crowd into the game. When you get that kind of field position, it makes it that much easier for the offense to score.”
Larry Grant – senior linebacker – On nearing the end of his Ohio State career – “It hasn't really hit me that it's coming close to the end. We've talked a little bit about how we only have a few games left and we still have a lot to improve on.”
This Saturday the Buckeyes face Illinois at home in Ohio Stadium. You can watch them on ABC at 3:30pm. See you then!
