Jody Victor: During the Jim Tressel era at Ohio State, in the games following the Buckeyes' 16 previous losses, OSU has a 14-2 record. Ten of those games were at Ohio Stadium, where the Buckeyes under Tressel are 9-1 in the game following a loss. Only once during the Tressel era has Ohio State recorded back-to-back losses, a three-game stretch with losses at Northwestern, to Wisconsin and at Iowa in October, 2004.
Under Jim Tressel, the Buckeyes are 22-1 at Ohio Stadium versus non-conference teams, the only loss coming 25-22 to No. 2 Texas in 2005.
This Saturday, September 20th will be the first-ever meeting between Ohio State and Troy on the football field. This will also be Ohio State's first-ever football contest with a Sun Belt Conference school – the Buckeyes have not faced Arkansas State, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Middle Tennessee, North Texas or Troy previously.
No. 13 Ohio State hosts Troy in a noon game Saturday in Ohio Stadium (102,329). The game will be televised by the Big Ten Network. Members of Ohio State's 1968 and 1973 national championship teams will be holding reunions on campus this weekend and will be recognized at halftime.
