Bucks beat Cincinnati 50-28

YES! The Bucks won before a record 108,362 in attendance on Saturday. Ohio State had possession of the ball almost 42 minutes over Cincinnati’s just over 18 minutes. J.T. Barrett threw a career-high 330 yards.

Ohio State Takes On Akron, Travels to Cincinnati in Midweek Matchups

COLUMBUS, Ohio ? The Ohio State baseball team hosts Akron Tuesday and travels to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats Wednesday. Both games are slated for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch.

Ohio State earned a series win in its first trip to Nebraska over the weekend. After dropping the first game of the series, 11-2, the Buckeyes won the middle game, 6-5, in 11 innings before picking up a 7-4 win in the series finale.

Pat Porter finished the weekend 5-for-13 with a double, a triple two runs scored and an RBI while Brian King was brilliant on the mound in the finale, tossing 7.0 shutout innings, allowing three hits while striking out three.

Akron is 8-25 on the season but won a conference series at Ohio over the weekend. Jared Turocy has helped pace the Zips offensively with a .304 average with a double, a triple, a home run, 11 RBI and seven runs scored.

Ohio State holds a 17-9 lead in the all-time series with Akron.

Cincinnati enters the week with a 13-21 record after dropping a series over the weekend at Rutgers. Ian Happ leads the Bearcats with a .325 average wtih 12 doubles, a triple, two home runs, 23 runs scored and 21 RBI.

Ohio State leads the all-time series with the Bearcats, 65-23-2.
