This rivalry was named the “greatest rivalry of the 20th century by ESPN.com in 1999.” The Ali vs. Frazier match was called No. 2. Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers added another notch in the winning column for the Ohio State Buckeyes. This brings their winning streak to 22 games total with 13 consecutive wins on the road. They played the game in Minnesota starting at noon and played through the snow. This Saturday, Ohio State goes up against the Illinois Illini at Columbus. This is considered a “trophy” game as the winner will receive the Illibuck, a wooden replica of a turtle. The tradition began with a live turtle back in 1925. This is Ohio State’s only trophy game.

Ohio State Buckeyes will go up against Rutgers Scarlet Knights this Saturday, October 18. The home game will be the homecoming game for the Buckeyes. You can catch it on ABC, ESPN or BTN on TV or 97.1 FM on the radio. Kickoff time is 3:30 pm.
This will be the first time the teams will play each other, since Rutgers only joined the Big Ten Conference July 1 this year.

The homecoming weekend kicks off with pre-parade activities at 5:30 pm on Friday, October 17. The parade starts at 6:00 pm starting at the Ohio Stadium and ending at the Ohio Union. Immediately following, the Homecoming Pep Rally will be held inside the Ohio Union.
